There's a moment on every good trip when the bars on your phone disappear. For some people that's stressful. For us, it's the moment the day actually starts.
Out of Range is a small outdoor apparel brand built around that feeling — the switchback at first light, the lake nobody else bothered to hike to, the campfire that outlasts every battery in the group. We make clothes that look like they belong out there and feel just as right back in town.
Heavyweight, on purpose
We start with thick, garment-dyed cotton because they wear in instead of wearing out. They soften with every trip, keep their shape through a lot of washes, and have that lived-in color that looks better with a little trail dust on it.
Made to be worn hard
Twill-taped shoulders, double-needle hems and fabric that holds its shape mean these aren't one-season shirts. Wear them up the trail, around the fire and back to town — they only get better with time.
Get out there
Our journal is full of practical trip-planning notes for going beyond cell service. And if you've taken one of our pieces somewhere good, we'd love to see it.
